Welcome to day ONE of Make Your Own Momentum month and day one of Setting Routines for Success Week!
To kick things off, let’s talk about HOW routines make it possible for us to create momentum and crush our goals way faster than if we were to go after them without routines in place.
Routines can give you a sense of control over your day-to-day life. You know what to expect, how much time you have to do things, the obstacles that could come up, the excuses that may keep you from doing what you set out to do, etc. When you have a routine in place, there’s (for the most part ; ) ) no skipping a workout or eating a meal that wasn’t planned.
When you integrate your goals – not looking at your phone before bed, being active 5x a week, get into a routine, it takes the guesswork out. There’s no “but can I do it?” You know that you can because you’ve set yourself up for success by creating this routine that allows you to hit your goal without getting overwhelmed.
But… not every day is going to be perfect (and that’s okay!) so tomorrow we’ll talk about what to do when things go awry with your routine! For today, though, spend some time thinking about your daily and weekly routines and how you can change them up to help you reach your goals faster.
