Who’s ready for Healthy Summer Skin? 🤩 That’s what this week is all about!
One thing that can definitely dim sparkling skin is sunburn! 😫 It’s one of the worst parts of summer, right? You think you have everything ready for a fun outdoor adventure and 4th of July celebrations but you forget that one thing – sunscreen.
OR you applied sunscreen when the day started but were having so much fun you lost track of time ⏳and forgot to reapply. Whatever the situation is, sunburn happens, and when it does it can be painful and itchy and downright uncomfortable. Here’s some ways to help ease the pain! 😌
💧Drink water to prevent any further dehydration of the skin.
🧴 Apply natural lotion (like Calendula Cream) to soothe the skin.
🛁 Take a cool bath or apply a damp towel a few times a day.
💊 Take an over the counter pain reliever or anti-itch medicine if needed to relieve the discomfort.
☀️ Protect your skin from the sun while the sunburn is healing.
Remember that sunburn and skin cancer are connected so always apply sunscreen – especially to your face – and reapply per the instructions on the sunscreen you're using! We want to glow this month – not burn!
