“Times of stress are also times that are signals for growth, and if we use adversity properly, we can grow through adversity.” - Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski
Raise your hand if you’ve heard the term “growth mindset!”
A growth mindset is pretty much a Don’t Sweat mindset but with a less fun name.
A growth mindset is one where you believe that you can always be growing and improving. If you make a mistake, it’s not the end of the world, it’s just part of the learning process. It’s a mindset that putting in the effort, learning and growing, is key, and feedback is welcomed because it helps you get better!
It’s basically the opposite of being a perfectionist because you're totally open to failing, open to being you could be better, open to putting in the work.
We will always go so much farther when it come to our goals and ambitions if we allow ourselves the grace to make mistakes, to admit we don’t know everything, and the courage to just go for something even if it means putting in a lot of work. We can do hard things so be kind to yourself and just go for it!
