It's Foodie Friday!!
Did you know that Turmeric is an amazing little root in the ginger family, that does some amazing things!
✔️It contains Curcumin, which gives turmeric it's anti-inflammatory properties.
✔️It has a high antioxidant content and supports liver detoxification
✔️Studies show it can reduce depression symptoms
✔️Research has shown it can contribute to the death of cancer cells (What? death to cancer? I'm in!)
✔️Aides in digestion when experiencing abdominal pains (I have a turmeric tea I keep around for just this reason)
I challenge you all to experiment this week with Turmeric!! Add it to your veggies before you roast them, add it to your soups, smoothies or hummus (with some veggies....nom, nom, nom)
