Probiotic foods contain living organisms – I know, it sounds weird 🤨 – that boost the amount of beneficial bacteria in your gut. These foods are things like sauerkraut, miso, and kombucha. When purchasing these foods, 🔎 make sure the label says “live, active cultures.”

Prebiotic foods are what keep these microorganisms alive. When you eat prebiotic foods, you’re feeding the good bacteria in your gut. Some examples of prebiotic foods are asparagus, 🍌 bananas, garlic, and onions.

While you can get pro and prebiotic supplements, nothing beats getting it from a diet rich in a variety of foods! 😋 Your body is capable of so much including healing itself when it’s given the right foods so try something new this week with one of these foods!
