Rankin Aquatic Center is a public indoor pool and waterpark located in Alhambra Valley that offers programs for all ages. When you need to cool down, head on over there! You'll find plenty of activities such as swimming lessons or summer camps where kids can learn how to swim up high underwater, plus they have basketball courts too if playing sports isn't your thing then try out some volleyball while at Rankins.

 

The East Bay's Briones Regional Park offers a variety of outdoor activities, including trekking and horseback riding. For lunch or simply taking a break from city life, the park's sloping hills and oak-covered mountains provide plenty of shade.
 

The Briones Regional Park is located in California's Central Valley, east of Mount Diablo State Park and the Contra Costa Canal. This recreational area also has a visitor center that includes an exhibit hall and museum as well as nature trails that lead through California indigenous plants and animals.

 

The park is an excellent area to spend time in. It has trees all around and when you're by yourself, it's really quiet wherein you can hear the birds chirping or children playing on their swing set nearby. The bathrooms are always clean, which is really great for everyone. And there aren't any creepy people hanging about so your little ones can enjoy themselves with minimal supervision. Plus, they have a baseball diamond - what more could you ask for?!!! One downside: parking isn’t great but luckily that doesn't stop any visitors from taking advantage of this gorgeous spot.
