Martinez Park Reserve
Martinez Park Reserve is a hidden gem of the Bay Area. It's located in Martinez near the Martinez-Pacheco Adobe House and offers some great views of Mount Diablo! The park has all sorts of fun activities for people to enjoy, including walking, running, biking, and dog walking.
Martinez Park Reserve was founded back in 1975 as part of the East Bay Regional Parks District (EBRPD) which consists of 71 parks all around California. This park itself spans just under 100 acres so there are plenty of trails for walking or biking.
There are great trails for walking or running, a playground for kids, fields for playing soccer or baseball - you name it! It's such a beautiful place with so much natural beauty too. The trees provide an amazing canopy of leaves overhead and the creek near the north end of the park is one of my favorite places to sit and watch while listening to birds chirp around me. You can also see deer grazing on occasion if you're lucky enough to be there at the right time.
Martinez Park Reserve is not just a place to go for recreation, but also an oasis of nature in the middle of town. The grass is always green and there is plenty of space for kids to play. There are even some cool bridges that cross over the creek.
Martinez Park Reserve is right next to the beautiful Martinez-Pacheco Adobe House. It has a small museum with artifacts from over 200 years ago, including things that were used by Native Americans.

How cool is it to go back in time with artifacts over 200 years old? There are plenty of great places here where kids can play too including fields perfect for soccer or baseball games. Be sure not to pass up an opportunity like this one when you live nearby.
Be sure to check out all of the things that this park has to offer if you're looking for something new and exciting.
