Your Muscles Need Sleep!

Did you know that your Zzzz’s have an effect on your Gg’s (Growth and gains!)? It’s true!

When you’re asleep is when your muscles are recovering, and your body is growing AND it’s when your muscle-growing hormones are let loose in your body. It’s not just about the weights and the nutrition – your body NEEDS to rest!

Ideally 7-9 hours is what we should all be shooting for, but sometimes that’s not possible. Can you try for 6 hours of GOOD sleep? Sometimes that can be better than 8 hours of bad sleep.

How to get good sleep?

-Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning.

-Use your bed ONLY for sleeping! No reading or scrolling.

-Don’t look at screens an hour before you plan to go to bed. The blue lights that screens emit are a sleep killer!
